GODLY TIME MANAGEMENT
This section of the WEB-SITE is a proposed time management suggestion, in order to best apply and use our time. In addition; It helps to answer the question…. How do we keep on-track with GOD’s will for our lives? Also, Shouldn’t we honor GOD with ALL our activities? Isn’t GOD, the one who gave us the time, in the First place! HOW can we keep GOD the center of EVERY activity? My prayer is that this tool will HELP to answer these questions by enhancing and magnifying your time; that you are now spending with GOD, to a higher level. Maybe this isn’t an effective tool for you. Either way; please share your own ideas with ME; of how you KEEP GOD the center of your activities.
My confession is that I fall into the trap of getting off focus……But prayerfully through purposeful intentional decisions I/we can stay focus on our Mission and RID our life of distractions. Also by establishing spiritual daily habits that maintain our focus, we can initiate a consistency that allows us to sustain our gains.
Please post your ideas! I started it off; please keep the ideas coming:
1.Keep a schedule. If we do not have a schedule; then how can we keep track of the activities GOD would want us to be involved in. More important, howwould we have a means to prioritize our activities. Another advantage of keeping a schedule, is that it helps us determine if we are spending too much time on a particular activity. My point is; we may be focusing ALL our time on becoming like Christ, which is a very Noble activity. However, if it is the only activity that we do, without placing the Scriptures into action then, we would need to change our focus, apply some balance in our lives.
2. On the contrary; we DO need to leave room for GOD, to work. What I have experienced; is most of us keep such tight schedules, we do not leave room for GOD. Remember the parable of the good Samaritan. I myself, in many circumstances, have passed by individuals stranded in their cars; thinking… they had someone on the way. However, other times, I have stopped to find out; they did need help. If the times when I didn’t stop, I had left some time in my schedule, and I wasn’t in a hurry, or had my own agenda in hand, I may have been able to be used by GOD to help out some induviudals, and share Christ with them. YES, judgement does need to be used, to make sure we are not taken advantage of, when in doubt dispatch the authorities.
3. Here is a sample Schedule Sheet to get you started: This is a tool that will help us to maximize the time we have available to perform the “Five pillars of Christianity”, see # 4 Below. This Scheduling tool will help you to plan out your Days of the week to be most effective during the so-called FREE time that we have. The “FREE” time that we have is explained as the time we have direct control overl; this is the time we have once we subtract SLEEP & WORK out of our Schedule. Usually it is ~6 Hours per day. Of course, we deal with uncontrolled circumstances, that steal our FREE time. Thus, we need to plan for these uncontrolled circumstances. A method to account for this, is to place time in our schedule to handle these instances.

4. Another helpful tool is to review the meaning of BALANCE. When talking in Christian terms; balance can be of upmost importance. I found out, that without balance; we become one dimensional. Balance is easily explained; however not so easily attained. The following model is inserted to help illustrate the meaning of balance. Throughout a 7-day cycle; I have found that cycling through the “5″pillars of Christianity; which are: Missions, Ministry, Discipleship, Fellowship, and Worship; allows us to be well rounded as Christians. It is also Biblical as can be seen through the Picture Below. As an example, I’d like to explain how all five Pillars can be administered. However, this needs to be completed live; through dialogue. My recommendation; is to first look through all the Scriptures, as outlined in the Model below. This should answer most questions. Remember; each persons area of Spiritural Guidance is different for all of us. That is why each of our lives are different. This doesn’t preclude us from becoming balanced. Regardless of what Talents or how many GOD has given us, we can manifest them in each of the ”5″ Christian Pillars. When we use all the pillars to the best of our abilities; we maximize our effectiveness as Christians. There are special occasions where certain individuals are called to focus in one particualr Pillar. However, this person is still accountable to spend time in each of the remaining Four pillars.
